Situated on the outskirts of Versailles near Paris, Le Golf National has been the host venue to the French Open for the past 28 years, and in September 2018 the Albatros course hosted the 42nd Ryder Cup which saw Europe triumph over the United States by 17½ to 10½. The destination will also host the men and women’s golf tournament at the 2024 Olympic Games between August 1-10.

Designed by Hubert Chesneau with Robert Von Hagge as a consultant, the Albatros Course was imagined to one-day fulfil the ambition to host prestigious international tournaments, and allies the traditional feel of a links course with the expansive features of a modern stadium course. Slick greens, vast undulating fairways, water hazards and links-style bunkers define its outstanding layout, with the spectacular finishing four holes surrounded by water. The second course at Le Golf National is the Aigle, a links-style course which draws its inspiration from Scotland, and on-site facilities include two driving ranges including a large short-game area. Visitors wishing to enjoy the ‘Ryder Cup Experience’ at Le Golf National, have the option of staying on-site at the four-star Novotel overlooking the finishing holes of the Albatros Course, or the luxurious surroundings of the Waldorf Astoria Trianon Palace in the heart of historic Versailles.

Located just 10km from the famous Palace of Versailles and 25km away from the Eiffel Tower in the south west of Paris, Le Golf National is a fine destination to enjoy the French Art de Vivre, by combining a memorable golf experience with the fantastic sights of Paris – the most emblematic and romantic city in the world.
